County Manager's Office

The Mecklenburg County Manager’s Office provides leadership for all County departments and agencies that serve more than 1 million Mecklenburg County residents and visitors through an array of programs and services. The Manager’s Office is also responsible for drafting an annual budget and carrying out the priorities and initiatives of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners.

A/E Pass Rate Incentives Program

The AE (Architect and Engineer) Pass Rate Incentives program goal is to support A&E's by moving them up in the plan review process because they take the profession and the OnSchedule process seriously, and have earned resulting high pass rates. Conversely, those professionals who abuse the OnSchedule process will move back, until they improve.

Approved as Noted & Interactive Review

Approved as Noted and Interactive Review are two tools utilized by the Commercial Plans Examiners that allow minor code issues to be resolved on the first review, therefore, eliminating the need for a 2nd review.

Abandoned Plans Policy

Projects will be considered abandoned if, after receiving automated notice from the County that a plan review cycle is complete, or a project is ready for permit issuance, no activity (drawings resubmitted, or permit taken out) is taken on the owner's part for 120 calendar days. Once the project is determined to be abandoned, projects will be cancelled and fees retained.
