'The Whole Story on the Transit Tax' Community Meeting Hosted by Commissioner Susan Rodriguez-McDowell

Mecklenburg County Commissioner Susan Rodriguez-McDowell, District 6, invites the public to attend a community meeting on Thursday, October 9 from 6:00PM - 7:45PM (doors open at 5:30PM). The meeting will feature a Conversation with the Commissioner. She will share and provide an overview of handouts from Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) and present an additional view on information for residents to consider regarding the 1-cent sales tax referendum. Interested residents are encouraged to RSVP to this site no later than Wednesday, October 8. All are welcome!

Notice is hereby given that a number of Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will be attending a discussion with key partners to discuss the potential impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) which could potentially constitute a quorum.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth Street, Room 267, Charlotte, North Carolina. The members of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will not conduct any County business or take any official votes at this event.
