    Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will be held on July 30, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center in Room 267. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and take action on language to be included in a resolution directing the Board of Elections to conduct an advisory referendum on Nov. 4, 2025, on whether a local sales and use tax at the rate of one percent (1%) may be levied in accordance with the procedures of G.S. 163-287. A public hearing on the action item is scheduled on Aug. 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon as reached on the agenda at the Board’s regular scheduled meeting after which the Board will vote on whether to place the item on the November ballot.
