The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants for appointment consideration to the 2019 Citizens Revaluation Advisory Committee. Nominations and/or appointments will occur on Nov. 21, 2017 and/or no later than Dec. 19, 2017. Applications should be submitted by Nov. 10, 2017.
The Citizens Revaluation Advisory Committee will meet monthly from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018, just prior to the next Countywide Reappraisal, which has an effective date of Jan. 1, 2019. The committee is charged with the responsibility of meeting with the County Assessor, management and staff to review overall operations, studying statistical reports as to the progress of the 2019 Revaluation, monitoring progress and reporting its conclusions to the Board of County Commissioners. Additional meetings with the Office of the Tax Collector, Register of Deeds or other departments may be needed.
Interested individuals must be residents of Mecklenburg County. Persons nominated for consideration would be required to go through an interview process conducted by an Ad-hoc Committee of the Board of County Commissioners.
