On Wednesday, Oct. 24, Mecklenburg County government and several community partners will host events for the On the Table CLT community engagement initiative.
The free events allow residents to come together over a shared meal to make meaningful connections, share diverse perspectives and move toward improving the community. This year’s topic is “the legacy of segregation and its continued impact.”
Mecklenburg will be partnering with the Clanton Park neighborhood to hold an event from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Dorothy Waddy Pavilion at Clanton Park, 3132 Manchester Drive in Charlotte. View the event flyer.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss important issues, including the history of the Clanton Park community, senior services and early childhood education. Residents will be able to network and learn about County resources.
You can view information on all the events happening across the area, including locations and times, by clicking here. The map will be updated as new events are added.
