Mecklenburg County offices and agencies will close today, Thursday, Oct. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
Forecasters say that the tail end of Hurricane Michael that passes through the region later this afternoon will include high winds that could topple trees and power lines. As a result, County Manager Dena R. Diorio decided to close offices for the safety of employees and residents.
County offices are expected to operate on a normal schedule on Friday, Oct. 12.
