Your Child's Best Shot at a Successful School Year

9/13/2019

Back to school immunizationWhew! The first couple of weeks of school are in the books. Make sure your child gets the best shot at a successful school year by making sure they are up-to-date with their required immunizations. Immunizations help protect children’s health and keep them ready to learn!

North Carolina law mandates that all school-aged children be up-to-date with certain shots in order to attend school. Children who do not provide proof of the minimum required immunizations within 30 days after the first day of school (September 25 for most Mecklenburg County students) may be excluded.

Here is some helpful information regarding Mecklenburg County Public Health immunization services to make sure your kids get their best shot at a healthy school year:

This year, Public Health is going even bigger with their annual Big Shots Saturdays immunization clinics, hosting multiple Saturday clinics to better meet clients’ needs. Call now to make your appointment. Walk-in clients will also be accommodated.
