The Formal Appeals filing period for the 2019 Revaluation officially ended on Monday, May 20.
The deadline, which also signaled the adjournment of the Board of Equalization and Review, means that 2019 property values can no longer be appealed.
All property owners who filed Informal Reviews or Formal Appeals with the Assessor’s Office on or before May 20 will have their information reviewed by staff.
Final values will be used along with 2019 tax rates, which will be adopted by the Board of County Commissioners and the municipal boards in June, to determine 2019 tax bills. Tax bills will be mailed in July and are due Sept. 1, 2019. Taxpayers will have until Jan. 6, 2020 to pay their tax bill to avoid delinquency.
Values for 2020 tax bills may be appealed beginning Jan. 1.
