Stevens Creek Nature Preserve covers 281 acres and protects the restored Stevens Creek, which is the historic range of the federally endangered Carolina Heelsplitter mussel. Over three miles of looped trails meander through the forest. Stop and observe nature in action down by the creek, watch birds in our bird garden or enjoy a picnic at our firepit. Please note that vehicles of any kind (bikes, 4-wheelers, ATV's etc.) are not permitted on trails.
Stevens Creek Nature Center is free to visit and features live, native animals, an exhibit hall, rentable classrooms, and a gift shop. Education staff offer public and private programs for individuals and groups year-round. Click here to sign up for one of our many programs.
