Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation in partnership with Cross-Country for Youth (CCFY) is proud to offer a unique fitness program that introduces young people to cross-country training and character-building concepts to aid in overall development.
CCFY Mission: To impact the lives of youth with the skills they need to run cross-country and live healthy lives with character.
CCFY Vision:
- To introduce elementary and middle school youth to cross-country throughout North Carolina
- To introduce youth to physical activity
- To expose youth to character development
- To prevent obesity in out youth
- To teach youth the importance of good nutrition
- To educate the youth on having healthy lifestyles
REGISTRATION AND PROGRAM INFORMATION:
Ages: Available to all boys and girls ages 9-14 (grades 4th through 8th)
Registration Dates: Fall registration will open on August 1st
Registration Fees: TBA
Practice and Competition Sites: Coordinates regionally with registration site
