​Summer Camps​

****Due to COVID-19, Aquatic Summer Camps have been cancelled for summer 2020.***


2021 Aquatic Summer Camp registration takes place in early 2021. Please note online registration is not available due to the swim test prerequisite. Registration can be done over the phone (980-314-3483) or in person.*

Camp Neptune - Cancelled due to COVID-19 - Summer 2020

Participate in exciting activities and games such as: water polo, springboard diving, water basketball, snorkeling, log rolling, and more. We take two field trips each week: one to Carowinds Water Park and one to the U.S. Nationl Whitewater Center for rafting, zip lines, and ropes courses. Campers spend most of their day in 13 feet of water. Campers must be strong swimmers to participate and pass a 200 yard swim test prior to enrollment. Online registration is not available. 

Ages: 8 - 13 years old
Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm

Jr. Lifeguarding Camp - Cancelled due to COVID-19 - Summer 2020

The best camp to introduce children to lifeguarding using the Starguard Start Program. This program will focus on the prevention of aquatic accidents, responding in emergency situations, as well as developing leadership skills. Online registration is not available. 

Ages: 10 - 15 years old 
Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm

About our Camps

  • Camps are staffed by professional Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation employees
  • Camper to staff ratio = 10:1
  • Campers will need to provide their own lunch and 2 snacks daily (refrigeration may not be available)
  • Campers are required to provide their own swim suit & towel, tennis shoes, sun block, and water bottle
  • No money, toys, cell phones or games.  We'll be too busy to play or spend!
  • Camp hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm 
  • Registration begins February 10, 2020 at 9am
  • Camp space is limited so register as soon as possible. You can check availability online at eParks. Registration takes place at MCAC or over the phone by calling 980-314-3483.
