Scope of Services:
Enforcement of the Minimum Housing Codes for Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews and Mint Hill as well as enforcing the Mecklenburg County Minimum Housing Code in the unincorporated area of Mecklenburg County. Minimum Housing Codes ensure that dwelling units maintain a minimum standard of living conditions. This encompasses any structure, from a storage building to a multi-family apartment building, if it is used as a dwelling unit.
Our Minimum Housing Code Team is also responsible for the enforcement of the Mecklenburg County Abandoned and Junk Vehicle Ordinance in the unincorporated area of Mecklenburg County.
