The re-inspection fee structure is based on an evaluation of each project with regard to the project
code defect rate (failed inspections/total inspections for all disciplines), at project completion or issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) *or Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO), whichever occurs first. The projects code defect rate is compared to the Percent Fee Adjustment Schedule and, prior to issuance of the CO, or following the final inspection, either a charge or credit would be calculated based on the original permit fee, and applied to the general
Where Part D section 48.3 and Part D section 48.4 of
this ordinance apply, there will be no disapproved inspection charges or credits.

The task force proposes the program will begin immediately for the purpose of notification of all project failure rates. The Task Force further proposes the new re-inspection fee schedule go into effect for all permits issued on or after April 1, 2000, assuming all the requisite fee ordinance changes have been approved by the BOCC and the appropriate IST programming is in place.
Above 40%, the percent fee adjustment shall be the same as the Code Defect Percentage Failure.
