The Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office is the designated agency authorized to conduct fire and/or explosion origin and cause investigations within Mecklenburg County jurisdiction, and services the towns of Pineville, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson.
We also provide investigation services in the Charlotte ETJ, (Extraterritorial Jurisdiction), which consists of the Steele Creek, West Mecklenburg, Long Creek, Cooks, Robinson, and Carolina Fire Protection Districts.
The County Fire Marshal's Office partners with a variety of Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement agencies to ensure a thorough, detailed, and scientific based investigation process.
