SNAP/EBT and Double Up Bucks
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to
eligible, low-income individuals, including children, senior citizens, and families. SNAP helps households improve food security, reducing the number of people
who skip meals because they don't have the
money or resources to buy enough food.
How to use your SNAP/EBT benefits at the farmers market
Find a market that accepts SNAP/EBT cards and offers Double Up Bucks.
Look for the SNAP and "Double Up Bucks" logos on our
market list.
Visit the market information tent.
Tell a staff member or volunteer that you would like to use your EBT card.
Purchase market tokens.
The staff will swipe your EBT card and give you tokens that act as cash at the market.

Double Up Bucks doubles your SNAP purchases up to $20 at participating markets.
