Retiree Benefits Meeting
I want to make you aware of a presentation we are making Tuesday, April 22, to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Governmental Retirees Association regarding retiree benefits.
Since I discussed potential plan options with you several weeks ago, I have received a good deal of feedback and questions regarding this issue, and I want you to know in advance what we plan to tell the retirees.
County staff will update the group about specific plan design options, and we will end with a question-and-answer session. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Web Upgrade and Redesign Project Update
Part of my work plan includes a commitment to upgrading the County's web presence. We are currently in the process of an upgrade and redesign project that is set to roll out later this year.
As part of the process, our Web Services team has started auditing the web content on the County's nearly 9,000 pages. The review is currently 58% complete to remove old information and pave the way for the new site.
In addition, Web Services Manager Jessica Davis and her webmasters are meeting one-on-one with department directors to determine each department's particular online needs. She is also planning to meet with you for feedback and suggestions, and will contact you to set individual meetings.
This effort is part of an overall upgrade that includes our web partners at the City of Charlotte. In addition to improving our main site, MecklenburgCountyNC.gov, CharMeck.org and CharlotteNC.gov are being upgraded as well.
If you have questions, please contact Chris Peek, Deputy County Manager at 980-314-2881 or by email.
