Request for Proposals October 2016 Announcement
Mecklenburg County Community Support Services is seeking proposals for projects that serve individuals, and families with children, who are homeless. Interested applicants must identify a source of funding for rental assistance as part of the application. The funds being provided by Community Support Services come from the County's Housing Stability and Supportive Services dollars.
Eligible housing must be non-time limited permanent housing with the understanding that supportive programs are voluntary and intended to improve residents quality of life.
For the purposes of this request for proposal (RFP), Community Support Services will allocated up to $300,000 for supportive services for one fiscal year and up to two fiscal years of funding for a Rapid Rehousing intervention and up to three years of funding for a Permanent Supportive Housing intervention. Funding renewal depends on recipient performance, funding availability and the eligible population served. One or multiple awards may be awarded. In its discretion, CSS will allocate Housing Stability and Supportive Services funds based on a 1 to 15 social worker to client ratio to qualified RFP respondents.
