Asset and Facility Management (AFM) provides master planning, space planning, architectural design and construction administration services for the development of general government, detention, and Park & Recreation facilities. AFM is responsible for Mecklenburg County's property inventory through the acquisition and disposition of real property. AFM manages the maintenance of all County owned buildings with the exclusion of Park properties.
Design work is achieved primarily through out-sourcing to private sector architectural - engineering consultants. Bid opportunities are posted as they occur.
