Virtual Community Engagement Workshop for Torrence Creek Greenway
Public Art Selected - Meet the Artists and Learn More
In collaboration with the Arts and Science Council, Mecklenburg County has commissioned a programmable, permanent light installation to increase visibility and improve pedestrian security throughout the 300-foot tunnel at Torrence Creek Greenway Tributary #2.
The design will transform the underpass into a dramatic and lively suburban experience through the use of interactive and animated colors or patterns of varying intensity. The artwork will encourage the use of the Torrence Creek Greenway by those who live, work and play in the area.
The virtual meeting will take place on April 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. To join the Zoom meeting, please register by responding to Erin.Taylor@ArtsandScience.org or by calling 704-335-3054. After registering, you will receive the Zoom link.
The artists from Team Project One Studio are Kyle Perry and Adam Buente. Hear and learn about their design inspiration. There will be opportunity for your comments and input during the workshop.
