​Learn How to Protect Your Home from Tax Foreclosure

Mecklenburg CountyMecklenburg County residents, ages 65 and older, or those who are disabled, may qualify for relief from County property taxes.

Starting April 17, the Housing Partnership and Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy will hold a series of free information events for residents to learn about the process and complete applications. View the event flyer

Clinics will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:

  • April 17 - Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road
  • May 1 - Wallace Pruitt Center, 440 Wesley Heights Way
  • May 3 - Wallace Pruitt Center, 440 Wesley Heights Way
  • May 10 - Wallace Pruitt Center, 440 Wesley Heights Way
  • May 15 - St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 Norris Ave.

 

Individuals interested in attending should bring:

  • A copy of their 2017 federal tax return and/or other information showing their income.
  • Under 65 and disabled - a certificate from their doctor or governmental agency stating that they are totally or permanently disabled.
