2019 Concessionaire Information


If you are a food or drink vendor interested in selling concessions at sporting events, concerts or other activities in County parks, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation wants to hear from you.

Vendors interested in pursuing a contract with Park and Recreation are asked to submit a letter of intent to or by Nov. 30, 2018.

Once your letter of intent has been submitted, Park and Recreation will contact you and provide a timeline for submitting required documents. Due to a high volume of interest, Park and Recreation will not accept any submissions outside of your assigned dates.
These items should be submitted only during your assigned timeframe:

  1. Commercial general liability. Provide a current copy of a certificate of insurance showing coverage for $1,000,000.00 or more naming Mecklenburg County as the Additional Insured. Additionally, Mecklenburg County, c/o Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, 5841 Brookshire Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28216 must also be listed as the Certificate Holder.
  2. Automobile liability. Provide insurance with a limit of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence combined single limit each occurrence for bodily injury and property damage liability covering all owned, non-owned and hired vehicles. Provide proof of coverage via a current copy of a certificate of insurance or copy of automobile policy declarations page. 
  3. Workers’ compensation. The concessionaire must provide proof of workers’ compensation as required by and according to the limits of the State of North Carolina if the concessionaire employs more than two employees. If the concessionaire employees no more than two employees, the concessionaire must provide Mecklenburg County a waiver letter on the concessionaire’s letter head stating that they are not required to carry workers’ compensation coverage because the concessionaire has no more than two employees. 
  4. A current copy of the Public Health Department Score Placard for prepared foods for concession stands, pushcarts, food truck or mobile food units.
  5. A copy of the menu and price list. Note: Selling Price Point Per Person is $5-$6. 
  6. Color pictures and dimensions of push cart, mobile food unit or food truck (inside and outside).
