Mecklenburg County’s COVID-19 Task Force to Host Virtual Town Hall for Educators

The Mecklenburg County COVID-19 Renewal and Recovery Task Force will hold a virtual town hall on Thursday, April 22, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. The entire community is invited to join this free event.

The purpose of this community event is to bring awareness to the effect COVID-19 has had on local educators, the educational system, and the emotional wellbeing of those working in this profession. Local educators will highlight lessons learned, available resources and how you can provide support.

Participants will hear from Dr. Gina Navarrete, a member of the Mecklenburg County COVID-19 Renewal & Recovery Task Force, as well as a panel of local educators and other representatives from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Kamilah McKissick, Mecklenburg County Clinical & Contractual Services Director.
