Mecklenburg County Public Health announced today that an Abatement of Imminent Hazard Order has been issued to the United House of Prayer for All People due to the COVID-19 outbreak associated with the convocation events that were held Oct. 4-11, 2020.
The Order is a tool available to Public Health to use to further prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Order will be used at all House of Prayer for All People locations in Mecklenburg County.
"We have taken this action out of an abundance of caution to prevent the COVID-19 virus from further spreading in our community," said Public Health Director Gibbie Harris. "This type of order is rare, but sometimes necessary. It prevents the church from opening or allowing any further gathering, making sure we stop this outbreak from going any further."
The order is attached here for your reference.
