Mecklenburg County Public Health, in partnership with Mako Medical, will hold a COVID-19 drive-through and walk-in testing event this weekend at the Valerie C. Woodard Center on Freedom Drive.COVID-19 testing will be offered for people who have symptoms of infection, have had close contact with someone who is infected, have high risk factors related to health conditions or working environment, or have recently attended mass gatherings or protests. The event will be Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Valerie C. Woodard Center, 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. Participants MUST use the Ashley Road entrance. Testing is FREE and will be provided regardless of insurance status.What to bring:
(1) Form of Photo ID (if you have it)
(2) Insurance card (if you have insurance). Insurance is not required. Federal regulations require the tester to ask about insurance coverage and to bill the company for the test. There is no out-of-pocket cost for a person to get tested.
(3) Cloth face covering
