Starting Monday, March 30, 2020, Mecklenburg County Public Health’s (MCPH) southeast location (249 Billingsley Rd.) will close to the public. Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and HIV testing services will be provided exclusively at the northwest location (2845 Beatties Ford Rd., Charlotte). Due to the COVID-19 Stay at Home Order effective March 26, Public Health has experienced a decline in clinic visits for Family Planning, STI and HIV services. If you have questions regarding Family Planning, STI or HIV services please call 704-336-6500. “In an effort to effectively utilize Public Health staff and other resources during this unprecedented time, we are consolidating our services to one location,” said Gibbie Harris, MCPH Director, “This will help us to continue to provide essential services to the community while also reallocating resources to the COVID-19 response efforts.” As a reminder, if you have COVID-19 symptoms and are seeking medical care please CALL FIRST before traveling to or entering any medical facility. It is important to make sure the information you are getting about COVID-19 comes directly from reliable sources like MCPH, the CDC and NCDHHS.
