​​County Gets Gold in Video Awards


telly awardsThe Public Information Department is proud and humbled to announce that it has been recognized with five Telly awards for video production.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honors video and television made for all screens and is judged by The Telly Award Judging Council; a group of leading video and television experts from some of the most prestigious companies in entertainment, publishing, advertising, and emerging technology.

Mecklenburg County’s Public Information Department (PI) won its first ever gold Telly for “Use of Music.” The video, titled “Recycling Woes,” also won two silver Tellys for “Use of Animation” and “General Public Interest/Awareness.” Watch the video here:
