Enderly Park
Enderly Park will be closed for renovations until Fall 2022. The renovation project includes constructing a new shelter near Enderly Road, making all the paths in the park accessible, resurfacing the basketball and tennis courts and converting one of the tennis courts into 2 pickleball courts, removing the baseball diamond and backstops and converting the area into a large multi-purpose field, adding a dog park on the southern end of the old baseball field and relocating the walking track in between dog park and multi-purpose field. Additionally, a new play structure and exercise equipment will be located on the Coker Avenue end of the park to activate that area. You can visit www.publicinput.com/enderly for additional information and updates.
Winget Park
The restrooms at Winget Park are closed due to a broken water line. Portable units are available for use.
Southside Park
Charlotte Water and its contractors, BRS Inc, will begin construction of the Irwin Creek Tributary to Remount Road Wastewater Improvement Project in late April/early May.
Construction activities will begin at Southside Park along Toomey Avenue, then move up Remount Road to Remus Road and Brookhill Road. Project construction and pipe installation is expected to take 18 months to complete. Please note construction schedules are subject to change, due to weather and other conditions.
Southside Park is expected to be closed from June 2022 to June 2023. Crews will be installing a stormwater culvert from Southside Park to the other side of Toomey Avenue.
More information can be found in the "Project documents" under Irwin Creek to Remount Road Construction Mailer – April 2022.
Mallard Creek Greenway
The short
section of Mallard Creek Greenway that was closed near Toby Creek is now open. While
work continues to restore the site to it’s original condition, the greenway is
open for use.
McMullen Creek Greenway Closure

NCDOT needs to close the greenway at 485 (nearest maintenance pod on Woodgate Ln) beginning Monday, June 6. Due to freeway expansion, a short section of the greenway must be realigned to make room for permanent shoulder expansion and rip-rap. The new greenway section will be constructed to county specifications and we've assisted with the new layout in order to minimize blind corners.

Liz Hair Nature Walk- Little Sugar Creek Greenway
The Greenway and interceptor area is currently closed for two years of construction to complete the new Atrium Health connection.
For all Construction updates: Upper Little Sugar Creek Wastewater Project East Boulevard to Morehead Street (charlottenc.gov)

Detour Route Updates: Starting July 25, the Atrium project
requires work at the corner of S. Kings at Medical Center Dr, which requires
the sidewalk to be closed to pedestrian traffic. Therefore, greenway traffic will be
rerouted to the east side of S. Kings between East Blvd. and E. Morehead. Users
will have to use crosswalks at these two intersections.
