Daniel Leatherman

Recreation Manager

Daniel has served Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation users for over ten years, and as a native Charlottean enjoys using many PRK facilities himself. Daniel is responsible for facility operations, staffing, and administrative functions. When not at Eastway Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors, watching Charlotte sports teams, and enjoying tasty food!

Senior Facility Manager

Tari is originally from New York City, and is a wife and mother of two beautiful children. At Eastway Regional, Tari is responsible for diverse programming, outreach, and management of program staff. Tari loves providing only the best services for our community through recreation and enjoys spending time exploring new cuisines and outdoor adventures with her family.

Administrative Supervisor

Originally from Chicago (Da Bulls!) I love spending time with my three beautiful children and husband. When not at work, you will find me traveling and exploring the world through the lens of my camera! Jeopardy is my favorite television program!

Brandyn Brockway

Recreation Supervisor - Sports and Fitness

Brandyn holds a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University, is a Certified Youth Sports Administrator, and is the supervisor for sports and fitness components of Eastway Regional. In his free time, he enjoys attending sporting events and spending time with his wife Kathryn and bulldog Rex! Go Bills!

Senior Recreation Specialist - Aquatics

Adrienne has been with the Department for 5+ years and loves using and managing our pools! Adrienne is over all aquatic programming and assists in lifeguard management. Adrienne enjoys taking day trips to the mountains and the beach and exploring what the Carolinas have to offer.

Arleen is a native Charlottean and has 16 years’ experience with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation. Arleen is over customer service and administrative front desk operations including facility usage, memberships, and more. Arleen is God first, family second, and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and serving the community.

Senior Administrative Support

Bonnie was born and raised in Houston, Texas but considers Charlotte home. She is the event coordinator for Eastway Regional and has been working with Mecklenburg County for 5 years. Bonnie enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and 4 lovely children.

Recreation Specialist – Inclusion

Sean is originally from Cleveland, Ohio (GO BROWNS!) and recently graduated with his master’s degree from the University of Toledo in Recreational Administration. He moved to Charlotte in August 2020 and is very excited to serve as an Inclusion Recreational Specialist. In his spare time, he enjoys going on hikes, playing disc golf, and listening to music.

Senior Recreation Specialist – Sports

Tyson is a Queen City Native and graduate of Belmont Abbey College. He enjoys serving Mecklenburg County via youth and adult athletics, and loves to teach youth just how important the word “team” is. In his free time Tyson enjoys going to Charlotte FC, Hornets, and Panthers games, and exploring the city.

Sakina is passionate about all things health and wellness, and is committed to creating healthy sustainable lifestyles. She holds a master’s degree in Health Education and Promotion; and is also a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and nutrition coach. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and relaxing with her family.

Trina is originally from the Washington DC Metro area and recently relocated to Charlotte. For the last 15 years, Trina has enjoyed providing health centered fun and educational programs to seniors. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and creating crafts and decorations.
