COVID-19 Update (3/1/21):

Tennis courts are open during standard park hours: 

  • Lighted Courts: 8:00am - 10:30pm
  • Non Lighted Courts: 8:00am - Sunset

Please continue to adhere to social distancing policies and State/Local COVID related guidelines.

Court Construction/Resurfacing:

    • Colonel Francis Beatty: Court resurfacing is complete and courts are now open for play.

 

 

WEEKLY TENNIS SCHEDULES               

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation schedules court use for a variety of users. Check the schedules below to find court availability. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and match reschedules.

Tennis Schedules for the current week:

 

*League match schedules subject to change. All adjustments will be accompanied by
 approved form between Mecklenburg County and league organization (USTA/LNTA).

**Contracted Tennis Instructors hold right of first usage to ONE court per facility. Instructor and court number are each specified on individual schedule sheet(s). Users of this court may be asked to relocate in the event of a previously  unscheduled private lesson.

Charlotte Tennis Association (CTA) – CTA offers tennis programming for adult players.  Spring, Summer and Fall Leagues are offered at Colonel Francis Beatty, Jeff Adams Tennis Center, Marion Diehl and Park Road Park. Program offerings include:

  • Mixed Doubles
  • Doubles
  • Singles
  • Ladders

 

MatchMaker Tennis - MatchMaker Tennis offers tennis programming for adult players.  Spring, Summer and Fall Leagues are offered at  the Queens University Sports at Marion Diehl and Park Road Park. Program offerings include:

  • Singles
  • Doubles 
  • Mixed Doubles
  • 3 on 3 Team Tennis

 

Lake Norman Tennis Association (LNTA) – LNTA offers programming in Northern Mecklenburg County.  Spring, Summer and Fall Leagues are offered at Hornets Nest Park and Jetton Park. Program offerings include:

  • Mixed Doubles
  • Doubles
  • Ladders
  • Jr. Team Tennis
  • Team Tennis

 

Terri's Tennis Ladder  offers flexible league play for singles, doubles, and mixed doubles all four seasons in the Greater Charlotte Area.

 
 

2021 TENNIS TOURNAMENTS

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation partners with the Charlotte Tennis Association, Upchurch Tennis, Terri's Tennis Ladder and other local organizations to host tennis tournaments throughout the year.  Tournaments are hosted at the Jeff Adams Tennis Center, Park Road Park and the Queens University Tennis Complex at Marion Diehl.

TENNIS COURT RESERVATIONS

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation reserves tennis courts for the following uses; League Play, Tournaments, and Instruction.  Tennis courts can not be reserved for one time users or non formal groups.  For more information please contact one of the Athletic Coordinators below:
