Restore Our Earth Passport

An Adventure Exploring Natural Sites and Environmental Services

Earth Day is an annual event to celebrate the planet's environment and raise public awareness about pollution. In Mecklenburg County we're not satisfied with one day. We plan to celebrate for the entire month of April and have partnered with national organizers on the Restore Our Earth campaign.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
To begin, print a passport on the right to keep track of your adventure. Complete at least 5 activities throughout the month of April.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
  • Stroll on a Greenway
  • Visit an environmental services site
  • Watch wildlife at a nature preserve
  • Tag us on social media @MeckLUESA
  • Volunteer at a cleanup event
  • Participate in a virtual Earth Day event
  • Support an environmental group
  • Create your own Earth Day activity
  • Hike a section of trail
  • Recycle Right
  • Spend some time on the lakes
  • Visit a nature center
