Solid Waste Virtual Recycling Presentations

Join us for an interactive presentation and dialogue with Mecklenburg County residents on how to Recycle Right. The program is about 40 minutes, but typically requires an extra 15 minutes for questions.

The program includes:
  1. An overview of the residential curbside recycling process in Mecklenburg county.
  2. Challenges and costs of improper recycling. How residents can help!
  3. What is and is not recyclable.
  4. Interactive/fun game to solidify learning and clarify common misinformation.
  5. Ample time for Q&A/dialogue.

The presentation will be given by Mecklenburg County Residential Recycling Educators, Walker Spruill and Maitri Meyer. They have been sustainability enthusiasts for years and both have a strong passion to educate others on reduced consumption and proper recycling.

Only those that register in advance will receive the link to participate and the handout. We will also send a webinar recording link and a .pdf of the presentation afterward to registrants only. Please register here.

It would be helpful if you can watch this 4-minute video in advance (close-ups of our recycling facility! Feel free to share but most of all, sign-up to learn how to recycle right.
