What is Construction Debris? Also called C&D, it is generally the material that is generated from construction activity. Lumber, bricks, shingles, cabinets, doors, etc.
What is a Construction & Debris Landfill? All landfills must be permitted by the NC Department of Environmental Quality and receive routine inspections and follow a strict operating plan.
Mecklenburg County will accept up to 10 cubic yard sized loads of C&D at any of its Full Service Sites. As a guide, a full pick up truck is about 3 cubic yards.
Loads that are 10 cubic yards or larger must be taken directly to the Foxhole Landfill.
The Foxhole Landfill is open Monday thru Fridays : 7 am to 4 pm, and
closed Saturdays and Sundays. The landfill is located at 17131 Lancaster Highway.
See Mecklenburg County Fee Schedule for pricing.
Note: The Foxhole Full Service Drop Off Center and the Foxhole Landfill are located at the same address. As a reminder,
the Full Service Drop Center is open on Saturday; the Landfill is closed on Saturdays. Therefore customers with 10 or more cubic yards of C&D material cannot dispose of said material until the following Monday at the earliest.
