The Epidemiology Program organizes, analyzes, and distributes health indicator data to staff, city and county agencies, nonprofit agencies, the media and the general public. Commonly requested data includes communicable diseases, tuberculosis (TB), sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), HIV/AIDS, birth and death data, injury data, community health objectives, health behavior survey data and county demographics.

Primary Care Access in Mecklenburg County: This report reviews relevant data regarding access to primary care services in Mecklenburg County and highlights evidence-based approaches for increasing the proportion of residents who can access the care they need.

2022 Mecklenburg County Community Health Assessment (CHA), Preliminary Findings: The Preliminary Findings report includes an introduction to the CHA process, overview of county-level demographics, and selected health indicator.
This is an on-going project with finalized results to be presented in Spring 2023.

Two virtual meetings were held on July 27, 2022 (1:30pm and 7:00pm) to discuss preliminary findings and solicit community input. In total, over 150 residents registered for these sessions.
