What’s Staying the Same in 2021?

- No increase in
premiums. - OurHealth continues to provide access to near-site primary care clinics.
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) is our health insurance carrier. Have pre-enrollment questions? Call BCBS at 877-224-3305.
- CVS Health remains our pharmacy benefits manager. You will be able to fill prescriptions from
major pharmacies, not just from CVS retail locations. Have pre-enrollment questions? Starting early October, call CVS Health at 855-298-4257.
What’s Changing in 2021?
- Health Savings Account (HSA) seed money decreases to $750 Individual/$1,500 Family.
- Coinsurance is increasing from 20% to 25%, after applicable deductibles are met.
- Annual Maximum Out of Pocket cost will increase to $5000 Individual/$10,000 Family.
What do you need to do?
There is no need for you to enroll in coverage for 2021 unless you want to change plans or add or delete a family member. Go to our retiree website to obtain the
2021 Enrollment Form. Return the completed enrollment form by November 2, 2020. You may cover your spouse and children (up to age 26). Mecklenburg County participates in an on-going dependent verification. New dependents will be asked to provide verification documentation.
Mecklenburg County partnered with OurHealth to provide access to near-site primary care clinics for employees, non-Medicare retirees and their non-Medicare dependents. OurHealth's MyClinics offer services such as primary care, illness and injury care, labs, medication dispending and wellness services.
