The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the FY2017 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the strategic funding investments approved in the adopted FY2018 operating budget.
The Board will receive an update on the financial status of FY2018.
The Board will view a video and receive an update on preparation for the 2019 revaluation.
The Board will view a video and receive an update on the progress made with implementing the tax foreclosure strategy including early results. Also, the presentation will include a concept of how the tax foreclosure strategy may contribute to creating affordable housing within the County.
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the County’s small business strategy.
Information Technology Systems Update
The Board will view a video and receive an update on the County’s recovery efforts from the ransomware attack and initiatives underway to secure our information technology systems.
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting policing data and statistics for the unincorporated area of the County
The Board will receive an overview of the County’s 2017 Performance Report.
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the status of investments made in early childhood education. The presentation will include discussion regarding universal coverage and the findings from the NC Blue Ribbon Commission on Local Financing for Early Childhood Development, and other relevant research.

Bringing Mecklenburg County To You! The Board will view a video and receive an update on a project to transform current Health and Human Service provision from a Regulative Business Model to an Integrative Business Model, expanding the focus beyond eligibility and adherence to policies/regulations, to a more comprehensive focus on strengthening indiv IDuals, families and communities.
The Board will receive an update on the Youth & Family Services division of the Department of Social Services.
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the governance options available for the oversight of the Public Health Department.
The Board will receive an update on the transformation work in Public Health, highlighting operational and structural changes to the Public Health Department.
The Board will receive a presentation highlighting the community planning that is working to address HIV in Mecklenburg County and outline the framework for the plan.
The Board will receive an economic update from the County’s Economist.
The Board will receive a property valuation update.
The Board will receive a financial forecast, including a FY2018 projection and FY2019 revenue estimate.
The Board will receive a briefing on the FY2019 operating budget calendar and public policy workshop agenda.
