LoveSpeaksOut Vision:
A future without dating abuse and domestic violence
LoveSpeaksOut Mission:
Through every action, for the purpose of transforming the next generation, we educate, engage, and speak out against teen dating violence.
LoveSpeaksOut Initiatives:
1. Community Presentations
Teens deserve to know the difference between healthy and abusive relationships. Contact us to schedule a LoveSpeaksOut speaker to speak to teens using our special discussion and activity-based LoveSpeaksOut teen dating violence curriculum!
CSSPrevention@MecklenburgCountyCSS.gov

LoveSpeaksOut completed 196 presentations to 6,047 teens in our last fiscal year!
2. Health Class Curriculum
Did you know it is required for teens in 8th and 9th grade health class to learn about power and control and dating abuse resources?
If you have school connections or want to help advocate for the LoveSpeaksOut curriculum to be taught in your school, contact Alex Pyun at Alex.Pyun@MecklenburgCountyNC.gov

LoveSpeaksOut taught at 22 schools in Mecklenburg County in our last fiscal year!
3. LSO SQUAD
All teenagers are welcome to join the LSO SQUAD, a community of teens who actively promote healthy relationships and speak out against dating abuse in their school and community! Have fun completing volunteer hours, going on teen dating violence awareness missions, and earning swag!
To get started, contact the LSO SQUAD Coordinator, Jiya Williams at Jiya.Williams@MecklenburgCountyNC.gov

LoveSpeaksOut seeks to TRANSFORM prevention programming and become a model for preventing violence in our community.
