Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team
The Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team (DVFRT) has a mission to prevent domestic violence deaths. The team reviews domestic violence fatalities in accordance with North Carolina Session Law 2009-52 in order to increase safety for victims and accountability for perpetrators of domestic violence. The intent is not to lay blame, but rather to actively improve all systems that serve persons involved with domestic abuse in order to prevent violence and fatalities.
Domestic Violence Advisory Board
The Domestic Violence Advisory Board (DVAB) is the official Citizen Advisory Commission on domestic violence issues. The Women's Advisory Board (WAB) consists of 15 members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
​Domestic Violence Community Leadership Team
The
Domestic Violence Community Leadership Team (DVCLT) is a partnership between government, health and human services providers, educational institutions, the private sector and the faith community that brings together people from diverse backgrounds to raise awareness about domestic violence, focus on preventing domestic violence, and follow the community domestic violence strategic action plan.
Women's Advisory Board
The Women's Advisory Board (WAB) consists of 15 members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Appointments are made for 3-year terms with no one serving more than two consecutive terms. To apply for the board, please submit an application to the BOCC.
