Mecklenburg County Jail Central/Jail North  Substance Use Treatment Programs

The Substance Use Treatment programs facilitated within Jail Central and Jail North are a collaborative partnership between the the Community Support Services Department and the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The Day Treatment program provides inmates an opportunity to participate in group and individual sessions where substance abuse issues are addressed, and can last up to 42 days. The program uses a combination of Best Practice Models such as; Motivational Interview, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy, and specific programs that change criminal thinking.

It is a goal of our Jail treatment programs to continually assess how we are doing in meeting the needs of our clients. Click here to see the results of our Client Satisfaction Surveys.
