Data Description: Data is collected from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveys (YRBS) conducted at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) and includes the number of participants and the percentage of participants who responded positively to at least one of the two domestic violence-related questions.
Question #1: During past 12 months did your boyfriend or girlfriend ever hit, slap, or physically hurt you on purpose?
Question #2: Have you ever been forced to have sexual intercourse when you did not want to?
Mecklenburg County Community Support Services Prevention and Intervention Services Division (formerly Women's Commission)
Data Description: Data includes the number of clients served in the Prevention and Intervention Services Division's adult victim, child witness and teen, and offender programs. Information includes knowledge improvement rates for child and victim services, recidivism rate for its offender program and rate of adult victims who reported to feeling safer after receiving services.
Safe Alliance (formerly United Family Services)
Data Description: Data includes the number of adult victims served, the percentage of clients who established a safety plan/felt safer, and knowledge improvement rates of shelter residents.
