Community Support Services Substance Use Services Division provides Substance Abuse
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (SAIOP) services within the Men’s and Women’s shelters of Mecklenburg County. Treatment services are facilitated a minimum of 3 days per week for 3 hours a day. Treatment services include individual and group counseling, psycho-education on drugs and alcohol, and aftercare services. Treatment services are facilitated using Best Practice Models such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety.
