Teen Dating Violence Program

Teenagers can find themselves in abusive dating relationships when someone they are dating exerts power and control over them using tactics such as emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, or digital abuse.  We provide individual and group therapy to any teenager ages 12 – 18 years old experiencing abuse from a dating partner

How can the Teen Dating Violence Program help?

Individual and small group services are provided for youth who have experienced dating abuse. Through this program we hope to provide empowerment and support to youth to partner with them in their healing process and work towards ensuring they are better able to identify healthy relationships in the future. In this program, you can expect the following:

  1. A safe and confidential space for sharing your experiences

  2. Identify strategies to increase your safety

  3. Learn about how dating abuse happens

  4. Explore the cycle of dating abuse

  5. Enhance self-esteem

  6. Identify characteristics of abusers

  7. Learn ways to cope with experiences with abuse

  8. A space to process and heal from experiences with abuse

  9. Discover strategies for expressing feelings in healthy ways

  10. Understand characteristics of healthy relationships
