Homeless Support Services (Coordinated Entry)
We have five team members located throughout the community who provide outreach, engagement, assessment, referral, and case management to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Shelter Plus Care
Shelter Plus Care, funded by a HUD grant, provides rental assistance to qualified homeless individuals and families with disabilities in connection with supportive services provided by sources outside of the program.

Homeless Resource Center
The Homeless Resource Center collaborates with and provides space to ministries and community service organizations that serve meals to the homeless during evening and the weekend hours.
Housing First Charlotte-Mecklenburg Partnership
HFCM is a collaboration between Mecklenburg County, the Urban Ministry Center (UMC), and The Charlotte Housing Authority (CHA) to help end homelessness in Charlotte. HFCM seeks to provide affordable homes and accompanying support services for 120 homeless individuals.
HFCM is guided by the Housing First philosophy, recognizing that people experiencing homelessness need housing first before other life challenges can be addressed. HFCM uses a Scattered-Site Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) model in which program participants rent from community-based landlords. The program serves the most vulnerable people experiencing homelessness in Charlotte (the chronically homeless) and receives referrals from the community's Coordinated Entry registry.
