Developed by County Manager Dena R. Diorio and presented to the Board 
of County Commissioners in 2015, the plan expands access to services across the County and meets customers where they are. The model creates
a system of "Community Resource Centers" that provide a continuum of County services a t a single location. 

Work on Phase I of the project -- including the relocation of LUESA and MEDIC -- is completed and a new Community Resource Center is open at 3205 Freedom Drive.

We are also undertaking some projects in the Government District.

Completed Government District work includes:

• Criminal Justice Services' relocation from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center and the County and Courts Office Building to 715 E. 4^th Street
• Public Defender relocation from the Judge Johnson Building to the
  County and Courts Office Building
• Finance Department and Enterprise Project Management Office relocations from various locations to the Judge Johnson Building

Future Government District work includes:

• Business Process Management relocation from Valerie C. Woodard Center to the Judge Johnson Building
• Internal Audit relocation from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center to the Judge Johnson Building
• Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center 2^nd, 4^th, and 11^th floor renovations (various relocations, including Public Information from Valerie C. Woodard Center to CMGC)
